Fetch the Citrix Receiver. Pick the 32-bit .deb.


Do not use the 64-bit package, even if you're on an amd64 machine (which will often be the case). The 64-bit packages the exact same binaries the 32-bit package does, only its control file says:

	  Architecture: amd64

I would call that a packaged lie. The binaries are nearly all 32-bit, and installing this package will just draw in a lot of dependencies, all of them useless because they are the wrong architecture.


There's also a tarball that's described as source on this Citrix support pages. That's another creative description of reality. As of this writing, that tarball doesn't contain source code to be compiled. It just contains the same binaries the .deb package contains.
